Greg White Marching Band Show Designer Program Coordinator Clinician and Consultant

About Me

With over two decades of experience in the Marching Arts, I have worked alongside top designers and educators in the realm of pageantry arts and music education. As a seasoned program coordinator, marching band show designer, clinician, and consultant, I regularly collaborate with leading professionals from Bands of America, Drum Corps International, and Winter Guard International.

Most recently, I served as the Director of Bands at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas, where I began teaching in 2011. During my time at Ronald Reagan High School the band program grew from roughly 200 students to 350+. We increased the number of Concert Bands from two to four, and quadrupled the size of our Colorguard/Visual Ensemble.

Competitively, in my time, the Ronald Reagan Marching Band won numerous competitions, including 7 Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Championships (setting a record score at the 2019 BOA San Antonio Super Regional), and was a finalist at the Bands of America Grand National Championships three times. The Ronald Reagan Marching Band was also a finalist at the UIL State Marching Contest every year we competed. Additionally, we marched in the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade and the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

On the Concert Band Stage, during my time, the Reagan Concert Bands received "Superior" Ratings at all contests and festivals, and the Reagan Wind Ensemble was a multiple-time TMEA State Honor Band Finalist. The Reagan Band had two groups invited to perform at the Midwest Clinic, our Saxophone Quartet in 2015 and the Reagan Wind Ensemble in 2018.

As a band director I developed an award winning Chamber Music Program within the Reagan Band, featuring countless outreach performances throughout the San Antonio community. Competitively, students in my chamber ensembles have consistently won events up to and including National and International Prizes. I am proud that I have been able to send thirteen ensembles to the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition since 2016, winning the gold medal in 2024.

I maintain an active schedule as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, working with students and directors from around the country. I have presented at the Texas Music Educators Association Conference, the Texas Bandmaster's Convention, and the Midwest Clinic. During the summer, I travel to campuses working with student leadership and drum major teams for the SASI Leadership Company.

I would love to connect with you to discuss how we can work together to help your students!
